601 Cigars

601 is one of the great collaborations in modern cigar history. Created by Erik Espinosa and Eddie Ortega and blended in partnership with Jose "Don Pepin" Garcia, the line launched in 2006 and immediately established itself as a full-flavored, expertly constructed Nicaraguan powerhouse. Today it lives under Espinosa Premium Cigars and remains the brand that put both men on the map.

Reading the Labels

601 is organized by colored bands, and each one is a genuinely different cigar rather than a size variation. Blue Label is the Maduro — dark, sweet, and rich. Red Label brings a Habano wrapper and a spicier, more classic Nicaraguan profile. Green Label goes Oscuro with heavy earth and pepper. Black Label leans into full-bodied Maduro territory. La Bomba, the line's most notorious release, is exactly what the name suggests.
